Service
At New Horizons we continue to add new services and doctors to improve our patients overall care. We understand there are many dimensions to care, from education to prevention to taking care of illnesses. NHHS offers programs on diabetes and COPD. We also continue to grow our Specialist so that the best services are offered to our patients close to home.
Finance
Critical Access Hospital designation was awarded to New Horizons Medical Center in 2001, since then we have been able to offer to our community expanded services and benefits such as state-of-the-art equipment in radiology and laboratory.

At New Horizons we know patients have choices in healthcare. This is why we are building our new state-of-the-art outpatient clinic and remodeled areas in the Hospital such as a new CT scan room and Physical Therapy. New Horizons is growing in every way to serve you better.
Community
New Horizons mission is to serve and care for the people in the community it services. We participate in a variety of events including the health screen at the Owen County Fair, Relay for Life, Sweet Owen Days and other county events and events in surrounding counties. We are very interested in understanding our community members and teaching families how to protect themselves. From hosting classes to simply being "open" 24 hours a day, New Horizons is here for our patients!

Mission Statement
The New Horizons Medical Center will maintain a leadership position in efficiently providing quality medical care and health care services to the residents of Owen County and surrounding counties. Services will meet identified community needs and shall be provided with the highest concern for our patients and their families. These services shall be provided at the lowest possible cost. The hospital will provide adequate facilities, modern equipment, a professionally trained staff, and a qualified medical staff. The health care services provided may include acute medical surgical inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and long term care; health education, health screening, wellness, and rehabilitation. All services will be provided without regard to race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, and disability, social or economic status. The Hospital will generate sufficient financial resources to meet the operational needs of services provided and to strategically posture for capital needs, technological advancements, and delivery system enhancements. The Hospital will serve as a responsible employer and participate in the economic and cultural development of the community.
Preamble
Under the law of the State of Kentucky, a charter having been granted, the Corporation known as New Horizons Health Systems, Inc., New Horizons Medical Center, Owenton, Kentucky, is established as a Critical Access hospital for the care and treatment of sick and injured persons. It recognizes that the Medical Staff, the Administrator and the Board of Directors are necessary to fulfill the medical center's obligation to its patients. The physicians and dentists practicing at New Horizons Medical Center have organized themselves into a Medical Staff in conformity with the Constitution and Bylaws of the Corporation and the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations herein stated.
