IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER
.........
  • Please bring a list of your current medications with
you when you come to the Emergency Room.
    ....
  • Please do not eat or drink anything before the ER
physician sees you, as this may delay test or procedures.
    ....
  • We cannot give someone who calls on the telephone
information about you. This is Federal law.
    ....
  • Your previous medical information is not stored in the
Emergency Room. Although we can access
your records, we must ask you about your current
and past medical conditions and surgeries.
    ....
  • We are bound to protect your privacy and
    confidentiality as much as possible.
    ....
  • If you have a condition that requires urgent consultation
with a specialist, we will arrange for your transfer to a
higher level of care. Our physician must speak with a
physician specialist who will accept you for care and the
accepting hospital must have a bed available for you.
    ....
  • If you call the Emergency Room on the telephone for
advice about your or a family members condition or
symptoms, we cannot give you advice over the
    phone for legal liability reasons.
    ....
  • We are also prohibited by Policy from disclosing the
name of the Emergency Room physician on duty.

    ....
The Emergency Room has four (4) beds. The Emergency Room physicians
and nurses will allow a family member to accompany you whenever possible.
A Parent will always accompany a minor child.
